“New Zealand businesses are chronic underchargers. It is much more common than overcharging, especially with SMEs,” says Keith Mackenzie, managing director of Software Associates. “Lost dockets, a lack of standardised billing and bad management of paperwork can all lead to business owners not charging as much as they should.” The Auckland based IT company recommends businesses use job management and invoicing software to help them keep track of costs and bill more accurately. Implementing a job tracking and invoicing software package such as Software Associates’ JobPro can help companies develop good pricing structures and keep track of invoices, it says. SA says although JobPro was only officially launched in February 2008, it has already been having a positive impact on businesses around the country. One Software Associates client based in Tauranga increased turnover by 15 percent in one month because the software system enabled them to correct their pricing structure. Another business owner hadn’t realised that his drivers weren’t recording jobs properly until he started using the system. View all Announcements / Contract Listings 8/10/16_ex_h |
