Gentrack scores Hong Kong International Airport billing contract

Airport management solutions provider Gentrack has signed a contract that will see it deploy its billing system to one of the busiest airports in the world: Hong Kong International...

Gentrack’s Airport 20/20 solution will consolidate four existing billing systems at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), providing a single billing solution to manage a multiple revenue streams for the airport.

The system will integrate with HKIA’s existing airport operational database and is designed to streamline the collection and processing of airport data.

Airport 20/20 general manager Nigel Farley says that Gentrack has appointed Hewlett Packard as its partner and sub-contractor for the project.

“We selected HP as our partner for the project given their vast experience of delivering solutions and services to HKIA”, said Farley.

“A local partner with on-site presence adds significant value to the project given their knowledge of HKIA’s existing IT infrastructure and strategy.”

“HKIA can be confident of a long-term partner in Gentrack, committed to the success of the project and to supporting the airport’s vision to continue as a world class corporation and leader in airport management and aviation.”

Hong Kong International Airport has one of the busiest international passenger terminals and international cargo facilities in the world with nearly 51 million passengers passing through its gates in 2010.
