When looking at business software, the main issue for Ryman Healthcare was to find a system that could manage the complexity and size of the group structure - as Ryman Healthcare operates independent apartments, serviced apartments and studio units, rest homes and hospitals throughout New Zealand. Simon Challies, chief financial officer at Ryman Healthcare, says he was impressed by the overall performance of the suite of Greentree products and the smooth integration of Greentree into their business. "Greentree provides an excellent solution," he says, "as it incorporates local requirements and group functionality seamlessly, so we're able to run our group of companies on one integrated system." Ryman Healthcare has found the new system to be extremely efficient. "We were also very impressed with the implementation," says Challies, "as it uses the JADE thin client technology, which allowed us to reduce our hardware costs as there were no workstation upgrades required." The company is especially pleased with Greentree's advanced reporting tool, as it allows the group to produce tailored reports. "The key drivers for picking Greentree were that they provide an integrated suite of products that meet our needs," says Challies, "and it's actually very quick at assimilating information and reporting." By implementing Greentree, Ryman Healthcare has been able to streamline its systems and is seeing vast improvements to its overall business capabilities. Challies now believes that costing and supply of products to sites is more efficient with Greentree than with their former systems. He says by using Greentree they have reduced the development time of their retirement complexes from 12 to nine months. The ability to customise modules to meet their exact business requirements is key for Ryman Healthcare. The company has completed a number of customisations with Greentree, allowing information and options to be adapted to the specific day to day needs of the Ryman Healthcare users. commented, "Since implementing Greentree initially," says Challies, "we've actually had a number of customisations undertaken by Greentree and they've been produced for us very cost effectively."
