Locally-owned Adaptable Solutions has successfully implemented the Microsoft Dynamics AX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across 10 countries for Behringer Group. Microsoft Dynamics AX, formerly known as Microsoft Axapta, is now running live in Behringer's head office in Singapore, its distribution operations in the United States, Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as its manufacturing plant in China. The latest phase of the implementation now underway will enable Behringer’s customers around the world to place orders electronically, either directly via the Internet or via electronic data interchange (EDI). Adaptable Solutions managing director Duncan Cox says the relationship with Behringer has already opened up many opportunities for the company, including the recent establishment of a Singapore office. “The contract has helped our business to almost double in size over the last 12 months,” says Cox. Behringer Group, a world-leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of professional audio and musical instrument products, is confident of Adaptable Solutions’ ability to continue to deliver the solution, says David Brown, chief information officer of Behringer Group. “Our experience with Adaptable Solutions has been positive and we have already seen the immediate benefits of having the ERP system utilised in our business.” Cox says Adaptable Solutions’ move into Southeast Asia will be attractive to New Zealand companies operating in both New Zealand and Asia that are considering the purchase of a new ERP system.
