The Background

Liquorhome.com's parent company from West Australia needed a web presence that gave them a more direct role in liquor distribution. They also needed a scalable solution so Liquorhome.com could be rolled out to the whole of Australia.

The Challenge

With numerous competitors vying for market share, the key requirement for site designers, Beacon Technology, was speed to market.

The Solution

Beacon chose to implement IBM's WebSphere Commerce Suite Internet infrastructure platform as it offered the base to build a complete transactional web site very quickly, without compromising design and flexibility.

The WebSphere software framework features a library of extensions for developers which helped Beacon implement, amongst other site features, a bonus points solution for Liquorhome's customers.
