Tranzsoft Case Study Summary - Q1, 2002

Tranzsoft provides solutions to enable organisations to electronically exchange documents and data on an 'any file to any file format' basis, between systems within the organisation, with trading partners and with 3rd party exchanges.  The following overviews current work with e://volution, Corporate Express, Microlistics, a large distribution company and a small owner-operated business...

The majority of projects that Tranzsoft are currently engaged in are regarded by clients as providing them with a competitive advantage. It is therefore understandable that at this stage full details of Case Studies are not available due to related issues of confidentiality.  However, a high level overview of some of our activities is possible and this we hope will be informative and interesting:

e://volution E-Business Ltd

e://olution required an integration ‘engine’ to enable clients and suppliers to trade within in a true ‘e-business’ environment.

Tranzsoft was licensed to and installed at e://olution on site to provide this capability.Read more

Corporate Express NZ Ltd & Corporate Express Australia Pty Ltd

Although CE had installed ‘point to point’ integration for processing purchase orders and invoices electronically via their ERP system, many clients and suppliers were not able or willing to engage in this process.

Tranzsoft provided the answer via a secure ‘gateway’ or ‘hub’ as a very cost effective solution.

By engaging the Tranzsoft ‘gateway’ providing an ‘any file to any file format’, CE is now able to rapidly increase the electronic trading potential it sees as an ideal way to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

Clients anything from and ERP, CRM, accounting software, Oracle or any other disparate system can now send electronic purchase orders to Corporate Express via the Tranzsoft secure gateway and receive electronic shipping advices and invoices in return.

Similarly, their suppliers can receive electronic purchase orders and send back the shipping advice and invoice.

Microlistics Pty Ltd – Australia

Microlistics have enjoyed International success with their ISIS Warehouse Management System.

It was recognised that ISIS would soon require a capability to integrate ISIS with other systems throughout the supply chain. It was also envisaged that this would provide additional support for their clients integration needs, particularly if such solutions were possible at a much lower cost than other integration solutions on the market.

Tranzsoft was selected to provide ISIS with a Generic Interface to meet these requirements.

The ISIS / Tranzsoft Generic Interface has already been deployed by clients In Melbourne.

In late February 2002, one of the largest global suppliers of foodstuffs will complete a project to roll out the ISIS / Tranzsoft Generic Interface.

Tranzdoc

Tranzdoc is a low cost ‘entry level’ electronic trading solution designed by Tranzsoft.

User examples:

  • Large warehousing / distribution company. Receives 58 purchase orders by fax every day. Tranzsoft secure server receives the fax, scaping the information, transferring it to digital format. Sends electronic order into warehousing system and receives electronic despatch advise. Tranzsoft sends back to client fax (as requested). Once an invoice is generated by warehouse, this is also sent via Tranzsoft to clients as an e-mail format (as requested)
  • Small owner operated business. Instead of printing invoices and statements for despatch by post, information is sent to Tranzsoft secure server. Tranzsoft configures either a fax or e-mail according to each client’s requirements and sends the invoices and statements accordingly.

Both these examples demonstrate simple solutions to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
