Telecom Advanced Solutions has launched Service+, an off-the-shelf wireless job dispatch and management solution that helps maximise the productivity of mobile field forces. Service+ allows field force workers to manage job or service requests on the move using a wireless Smartphone that connects to a central work force management system. By streamlining administrative processes including job despatching and reporting, traditional paper based processes and time sheets can be eliminated. Service+ enables more effective field force management and leaves more time for dealing with customers. It’s ideal for businesses such as plumbers or alarm technicians who answer a high number of unplanned or short notice job requests, Telecom Advanced Solutions Service Delivery Manager Paul Johansen says. “The combination of software, connectivity, hosting and support means we can deliver a total solution that is as practical and accessible as any other business utility. That means businesses without an IT manager can use mobile field force technology safe in the knowledge it is being managed by experts,” he says. The service integrates Eservice, a job dispatch and management software from ECONZ, with Mobile JetStream to create a hosted wireless solution that is hosted and managed by Telecom Advanced Solutions. Service+ distributes job or service requests directly to field workers via Mobile JetStream-enabled Smartphones. Accessed via the web, hosted management software records and tracks all jobs or service requests ensuring management of a job or service through to its completion in real-time. Priced at $249 plus GST per user per month, the package includes a Smartphone and accessories, 12Mb of data, software, 0800 help desk support, and training. A minimum of five users are required at start-up, with the service capable of accommodating up to 500 users. ECONZ CEO Michael Hartley says Service+ allows businesses, regardless of their size, to maximise the mobility of their workforce without significant addition to their existing information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure. “Service+ delivers leading-edge technology to smaller businesses in a bundle they can afford.” “The flexibility of Service+ allows it to be easily introduced into a customer’s business. The savings and productivity gains make it a very affordable proposition,” he says. Visit the Telecom Mobile exhibit in the Mobile Business pavilion Visit the Mobile Business Research Pavilion |
